Attached to the Orthodox Church building is the Community hall where the Greek School functions. The Community hall hosts several events throughout the year, and every Sunday after the service refreshments are available there where people gather and spend some time together.

By Bus:
To visit our community by bus, you can use the bus services illustrated further down. The journey time from the bus stops indicated in the city centre is round 8-12 minutes depending on the service route and traffic. On Sundays all the services listed below run every 30 minutes.


A single ticket from city centre to the bus stops closest to our community is £3.00. You can also get a day ticket for £4.30 from the driver on the bus (which you can use for as many times as you like within the day and within the Leeds boundaries).


49, 50/50A: Eastgate (G2) to Harehills (Empire)
From bus stop G2 on Eastgate in city centre you can take the bus towards Monkswood Gate (for 49) or Seacroft Bus Station (for 50/50Α) and will ride up to Harehills (Empire). From there our community is a 5 minutes’ walk.
Bus stop G2 is just outside Akbar's restaurant.


12, 13/13A: Vicar Lane (V2) to Harehills Lane (45010308)
From bus stop V2 on Vicar Lane in city centre you can take the bus towards Roundhay (for 12) or Brackenwood (for 13/13Α) and will ride up to Harehills Lane. From there our community is a 5 minutes’ walk.
Bus stop V2 is opposite Leeds City Market, just outside British Heart Foundation.


2, 3/3Α: Vicar Lane (V4) to Chapeltown Road
From bus stop V4 on Vicar Lane in city centre you can take the bus towards Roundhay (for 2) or Brackenwood (for 3/3Α) and you will ride up to the junction of  Chapeltown Road with Harehills Avenue.  From there our community is a 8-10 minutes’ walk.


Bus stop V4 is opposite Leeds City Market, just outside the Co-operative bank.


Useful information
If you live far from Leeds city centre or you will arrive in Leeds by train or coach you can interchange using one of the above services.


The bus stops on Vicar Lane and Eastgate are 2-3 minutes’ walk from Leeds Bus Station and 5-7 minutes’ walk from Leeds Train Station.


If you will take the bus to come to our community for the first time, please tell the bus driver that you are going to ‘Harehills Avenue’ and he will assist you to drop off the bus at the right bus stop.


The bus service 2 runs every day including Public and Bank holidays.


There are more buses you can use to come to our community (eg 36, 91, 92) which stop further afar from the buses listed above.

By Car:
If you are travelling by car, use the following addresses for your SatNav:
To access the front of the church use 57 Harehills Avenue, Leeds, LS8 4EU
To access the back entrance of the church use 31 Avenue Crescent, Leeds, LS8 4HD
Please note, parking on our premises is very limited and needs to be pre-booked especially during our Greek School operating times.

Walking or cycling:
Using the address above on any interactive map available on the internet (eg.) you can find the shortest (more convenient) route from your home to our community premises either on foot or by bike. On the link you can see the suggested route from Leeds train station to our community premises.


Using your home address as starting point (point A) you can get the door-to-door route from your home to our community premises, at the front of the church on Harehills Avenue.


You can enter the community’s premises from Avenue crescent if this is more convenient for you.


You can lock your bike on the railings in front of the church.


We suggest that you wear your helmet when travelling to/from our community and also to take extra care when cycling on Harehills Avenue and Avenue crescent as most of the times there are parked cars on both sides of the road.
